The Game Show Directing Career of Rob George - Episode 71 Show - "The Game Show"
Description
If you want talk, games and fun all rolled into one, well, you've come to the right place. Welcome to "The Game Show", the talk show all about the world of television game and competition shows. On each episode, host Bradley Clarke discusses a topic pertaining to the television genre he knows and loves. Plus, to add to the conversation, Bradley will be joined by a special guest who is knowledgeable in the episode's topic. Every episode of "The Game Show" also features an original game played by the special guest during the "Game of the Day" segment, and to close out the show, Bradley performs his “Bradley Parody”, an original parody song that has a connection with the episode. If you have a “Family Feud” inspired portrait hanging up in your living room, "The Game Show" is a program you will definitely enjoy. On this episode, the seventy-first in the series, for only the second time in the history of “The Game Show”, Bradley welcomes on as his special guest a game show director. Over the course of his career, this director has called the shots for shows like GSN’s “Catch 21”, the Hub’s “Pictureka”, PAX’s “On the Cover”, ABC’s “National Bingo Night”, and the last three seasons of “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire” hosted by Meredith Vieira. He is Rob George. Bradley chats with Rob about his experience directing all of the shows mentioned above, as well as other game shows he’s sat in the director’s chair for, such as GSN’s “Common Knowledge”, ABC's "Million Dollar Mind Game" and GSN's “People Puzzler”. You’ll also hear about an interesting moment he had with “Bingo America” host Patrick Duffy, how he was involved in bringing the “Millionaire” Shuffle Format to existence, and the process of how he co-created the game show “Pictureka”. Then, for the “Game of the Day”, Rob trades in his director’s chair for a contestant podium as he plays a Bradley Clarke original version of a game show that he directed, “On the Cover”. Plus, for this episode's "Bradley Parody", the Bradster performs a parody song inspired by “On the Cover” and the various skills it takes to be a great contestant at the game. To the tune of “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls, “Bradley Parody” number twenty-two is titled “Playing On the Cover”. Enjoy!
